$89,500

Separate from, but nestled next to Timber Ridge Estates subdivision is the old homestead lot that was the origination of the Bunton Farm house and barn. The Bunton Farm was 113 acres separated by Timber Ridge Lake Rd and Spoon Lane. The farm house sat north of the road while the original barn sat south of the road. In the late 1800s and early 1900s, farmers kept the animal smell and flies down wind of the living quarters. They also had the kitchens in separate buildings away for the living quarters to escape the cooking heat in the summer.   This spot for the location of the farm house was chosen because it was next to the creek which had a fresh spring and higher that the surrounding land.  According to legend and folklore, the Bunton Farm was originally part of the old Spoon Plantation which existed during the Civil war.

The wild area to the back of the property is suitable for Sportsman as it faces creeks on two sides and a 80 acre forested thicket to the back. It would be possible to erect a white tail deer stand behind the barn in the creek bottom area and safely shot straight North into an 80 acre natural timber  area.

If a person was ambitious, this building site could support a small pond connected to the creek for farm animals and the deer.

This building Site offers:

  •  6.4 Acres with creeks on two sides, approximately 2 acres of pastures and 3 acres of wooded bottom land

  •  Cattle/horse barn with two out buildings

  •  6inch well on site

  •  2 bedroom perk on site.

  •  On Site System built or Stick Built/Modular only ( no single wide or double wide trailers)

  •  Non-expiring Septic Permit for a 4 bedroom gravity septic system

  •  Hard surface stone Driveway from the street to the barn

  •  Established lawn (tall grass has taken over, but can be mowed back to lawn.

  •  Established trees including Black Walnut, Pecan, Maple and Pine

  •  Potential for small pond to be added next to creek

  •  Potential for hunting on land and located next door to a stocked fishing lake
